The details, explained

Frequently asked questions

From your first question to your full report.

What can I do for free?

The Combined Symmetry Span rounds, 24 questions, and BrainChilling challenge score are free. The optional two-page thinking profile is paid, with the price shown before checkout. The readable sample on the homepage shows what it includes.

How long does it take?

Try two practice sequences and three scored memory sequences before the questions. Three more scored sequences appear after questions 6, 12, and 18. The 18-minute timer runs during questions and pauses for section breaks and memory rounds. It continues if you refresh or leave during a question. When time runs out, saved answers submit automatically and unanswered questions count as incorrect.

Do I need an account to take the quiz?

You can take the quiz without an account. Progress is saved in your current browser tab, not your account. When you purchase, your answers are attached to your order for report delivery.

What does the full report include?

The paid two-page PDF is based on your 24-question answers. It includes an illustrated thinking profile, a five-category thinking map, strengths to explore, game-role and career ideas, and a three-move practice plan. The memory rounds contribute to the on-screen challenge score and have separate raw results; they are not included in the PDF. The PDF does not include an IQ score, population ranking or question-by-question answer explanations.

What does this assessment measure?

BrainChilling explores patterns, visual reasoning, logic and language, spatial thinking, and gameplay logic. Your challenge score reflects this attempt; it is not a standardized IQ score or a clinical assessment.

What is the approach behind the test?

BrainChilling brings together original challenges in patterns, visual reasoning, logic and language, spatial thinking, and gameplay logic. The experience is designed for curiosity, reflection, and practice; it has not been established as a clinically validated IQ assessment.

Has the test been verified by psychiatrists?

Psychiatrist verification is not currently documented for BrainChilling. The quiz and report are offered for personal exploration. For a formal assessment, consult a qualified professional who can interpret results in the context of your individual needs.

When can I see my score and breakdown?

After the memory rounds and questions, your BrainChilling challenge score starts at 100, adds five points for each correct question, and adds up to 15 points from Combined Symmetry Span recall and symmetry accuracy. Both accuracy measures remain separate in the raw results. The score is not a standardized IQ measurement or population percentile. The optional PDF profile uses the 24-question answers.

Can I use my results for a diagnosis or formal assessment?

No. This quiz cannot diagnose or rule out a mental health, developmental, learning, or cognitive condition. It does not replace an assessment by a qualified professional or create a clinician-patient relationship. Do not rely on the score for treatment, school placement, hiring, or other consequential decisions.

What can affect my result?

Distractions, fatigue, language familiarity, device setup, accessibility needs, and prior exposure to similar puzzles can affect performance. The quiz does not adjust for these factors. A result is a snapshot of your performance on these questions, not a complete measure of your abilities.

Does the report guarantee outcomes or improved ability?

No. A report describes a thinking profile based on this quiz attempt and offers ideas for practice. It does not guarantee accuracy as a measure of overall intelligence, improved cognitive ability, or success in school, work, or gaming. Use it for reflection and practice.
